Auberge Lou Peyrol is a small, family-run Hotel/restaurant situated at the entrance to Montferrand-du-Périgord, a beautiful medieval village. We are in the peaceful and unspoilt Couze valley - a perfect situation for relaxing and an ideal centre for walking, cycling and visiting the many places of interest in the area. The GR36 (a marked path) runs through the village and there are wonderful walks in all directions. Cycling is also an ideal way to discover the countryside with its network of quiet roads. The auberge is in the middle of the "circuit des bastides", the fortified villages such as Monpazier, Beaumont and Molières, so famous in this part of the Dordogne. We are about a 30 minutes' drive away from Bergerac (for the airport) and Sarlat (with its well known Saturday market). The river is within easy reach for canoeing and even swimming.
